Yamaha Musiccast Wireless Speakers
The hangup with Yamaha and Deezer is that you have to use the MusicCast App to run Deezer thru the Yamaha enabled speakers. Unfortunately for me, I’m too deep into hardware with Yamaha to switch to another hardware (like Sonos). I have over $2,000 in MusicCast stuff. Yamaha introduces TIDAL & Deezer streaming services to MusicCast multi-room system Yamaha announced today that it will support global music and entertainment platforms, TIDAL & Deezer.
Yamaha announced today that it will support global music and entertainment platforms, TIDAL & Deezer. The money is in the mailing list. These platforms will be available on all 2017 released Yamaha network AV receivers from the 83 series alongside other MusicCast wireless multiroom audio products via a future firmware update. For more details on specific models being announced, please see the below list.
In August 2015 Yamaha announced the MusicCast multi-room system, uniting Hi-Fi and home theater performance with wireless multiroom simplicity. Yamaha MusicCast products range from wireless speakers to soundbar for TV, home cinema amplifiers, wireless streaming amplifiers and Hi-Fi receivers. Offering an extremely diverse range of performance levels, price points and listening experiences from which to choose. Yamaha continues to be at the forefront of technology, providing innovative features that serve the changing demands of consumers around the world.
The integration of Tidal & Deezer within Yamaha products will provide customers with access to the almost endless music archive that Tidal & Deezer has to offer with seamless music enjoyment including the recently announced Hi-Fi quality. With Tidal & Deezer offering superior audio sampling rates, along with Yamaha’s legendary Natural Sound, users can expect to get the highest-quality audio playback from their network audio products.
Yamaha is further enhancing the music streaming services and smart home capabilities of its home audio products this fall, bringing Amazon Music and enhanced Alexa voice control to its latest line of MusicCast-enabled products. Beginning Oct. 31, over 15 current home audio products, including wireless speakers, AV receivers, sound bars and a wireless turntable, will receive a free firmware update to enable deeper integration with Amazon services and devices.
As one of the most popular music streaming services, Amazon Music is a welcome addition to an already robust lineup of built-in options offered through Yamaha devices, which includes Spotify, Deezer, TIDAL and Qobuz. Apple Music is available via AirPlay 2 support.
But the firmware update goes beyond simply adding Amazon Music to the lineup of built-in music streaming services offered in the newest generation of MusicCast products from Yamaha. In addition to expanding customers’ access, the firmware update also opens up more capabilities for Alexa voice control of streaming services on supported Yamaha devices in any room. Through the firmware update, an Alexa device, such as an Echo or Dot, will be able to control and play Amazon Music and Deezer on any updated Yamaha device connected to your home Wi-Fi network through the MusicCast Smart Home skill. While support varies by region, additional music streaming services with Alexa voice control is planned.
We design our home audio products with state-of-the-art technology that evolves and grows with our customers and changes how you experience music. With MusicCast, customers can access dozens of stations and streaming services, thousands of artists and millions of songs that freedom and flexibility includes the ability to control your devices with your choice of voice assistants, whether it’s Alexa, Google or Siri. This is how music should be experienced in the smart home.
Yamaha Musiccast App
Access to built-in music services is available through the Yamaha MusicCast app, which allows playback on either a single device or multiple MusicCast devices throughout the home. MusicCast also allows whole home audio playback of the music stored on your mobile devices, and – for sound bars and AV receivers – externally connected audio sources such as TV sound. MusicCast devices offer high-resolution audio support, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Voice control is available via Google Assistant and Alexa devices, and with Siri on iOS via AirPlay 2.
